The CMMG Banshee is a submachine gun/submachine gun already available in a dozen different calibers. Now CMMG introduces what they describe as "the shortest and most important Banshee yet". This new line is chambered in .22 LR and has a hooded lower receiver with no safety tube (receiver mount). Three models are available: 17.5" long Banshee 100, 18.1" Banshee 200, and the most compact of them all, the Banshee 300, 14.7" long with a 4.5 barrel. Magazine capacity is 25 rounds for all models.

CMMG end caps are available in two different styles: standard, with a smooth exterior and the CMMG logo, and QD (quick-detach), with an insert in the exterior for attaching a QD sling.
The safety-free ultra-compact Banshee is made possible by CMMG's new .22 LR End Cap, designed to replace your .22 LR AR15 build. According to the developer
"The .22 LR End Cap is the perfect accessory that reduces the cost of your .22 LR AR15 by replacing the need for a receiver extension and safety mount."
The .22 LR butt cap is compatible with all CMMG .22 LR AR conversion kits and any AR15 that uses a special CMMG .22 LR bolt carrier on the barrel - CMMG says that even if the cap can work with others bufferless. Operating systems cannot guarantee them compatibility, adding that to avoid injury or damage to the weapon, you should not use it with a protected operating system.
